Wow, today is a pretty big day of births. Born in different years, three of the most important transformational figures of the 1960s were born today. It’s actually amazing to look at how much of the 20th century was molded by the Taurus-born. Adolph Hitler, Queen Elizabeth, Eva Peron, Harry Truman, Pope John Paul II, and Emperor Hirohito, who led Japan into WW2, were all Taureans.

What is amazing is how much of our present society was shaped by these people, either through action or reaction. We don’t think of Taureans as progressive, but in an unsung way they can usher in sweeping change and keep order while they’re at it – as a fixed, earth sign they have a way of holding it all together without being too obvious about it. On the dark side, if it weren’t for Hitler, we probably wouldn’t have a border-free, common-currency Europe today, as the EU was largely created as a way to stop inter-European hostilities. On the light side, even when we look at a traditionalist such as Queen Elizabeth, the monarchy and English societal class system that was in place for centuries was completely transformed during her reign.
