June 8th may prove to be a decisive and potentially debilitating day for Hillary Clinton. Her birth time is under dispute so her solar chart must be used. For the past month, and until the end of June, Mars has been transitting Hillary’s sector of career recognition, giving her that fighter’s never surrender spirit. The occultation of Mars on the 8th, which is like an eclipse but of a planet, is a bit of wild card when anything can happen. This occultation is conjunct Hillary’s formidable Mars/Pluto/Saturn conjunction and making an almost exact square to her natal Venus. There could be heartache in store. The occultation sextiles her Neptune, so she may refuse to smell the coffee and delude herself into not seeing the reality of the situation.

Moreover, the Mars occultation is sextile Mercury retrograde in her house of power and intimacy. There may be a sense of chickens coming home to roost, or her calling in favors of some kind.

The fact that she is recieving so many stressful aspects, and that the Mars occultation is conjunct her own natal Mars/Pluto/Saturn conjunction, thereby neutralising this powerful energy she possesses, points to the fact that this won’t be an easy day, and in fact, a debilitating one.

In any case, there is a good chance Hillary will motor on until the end of June when Mars finally moves to her sector of social ties, in more harmonious aspect to her Sun. At this time, she may mellow out, turn from fighter to charmer, and start mending some bridges.

Hillary has been undergoing some heavy Neptune transits this year hitting her Saturn in her career sector and Mercury in her identity sector. She has often been described as “delusional” and her astrological transits just about sum that up. She has also been called erratic, and this can be seen by her current Uranus conjunct Moon transit. From now until late August, she will remain a bit of a loose cannon, acting inconsistently and unpredictably. This will make it hard on the DNC who won’t know how she will proceed. All of 2008 is a bit of an “annus horribilis” for Clinton, but things turn around considerably in 2009.

Occultations, like eclipses, can have an effect of plus or minus a month, but the days around June 8th should be interesting.
