This new ad by John McCain is soooooo Virgo. Remember the negative attacks by Hillary, intense and dramatic. The Virgo attack, however, is text-book passive-aggression, judgement and martyrdom. When Obama was in Europe last week, McCain released a statement saying he “felt a little left out.”

Virgos aren’t flashy characters and their need to please people often keeps them from being leaders or in the spotlight; they are too worried what people will think to let it rip or take a risk and be seen as a foolish peacock. Instead, when a Virgo feels afflicted they have a tendency to stay on the sidelines and make snarky comments about the “in” crowd. In the ad above, since when is being inspirational to thousands of people a bad thing? Well it can be in Virgo-land.

Virgos are often best in very small, very controlled environments, like McCain’s bus, where they can connect with people in a quiet manner. When faced with a large group of people, their innate shyness and inherent self-esteem issues (which they try to hide) can cause them to blend into the crowd, as opposed to stand out from it. To regain their standing, they will criticise and judge those in the spotlight, which, in turn, makes them a kind of expert to others who don’t like flash. In politics, these people are referred to as “the silent majority”, which is one of the main reasons this race is so close, because McCain is connecting to those people who are more naturally on the side-lines of life, who follow the natural order and set path that is expected of them, as opposed to those on the stage creating their own storyline from scratch.

Obama is a Leo, and Leos are natural-born leaders and charmers who can light up a room of any size. Leos also work well in one-on-one situations, as long as those situations don’t get too emotionally cloying or sentimental.
