I have finally recovered enough to make it to my computer and do some work. I’d like to thank every one who wrote in wishing me a speedy recovery – it was much appreciated. I haven’t been that sick in a while, and having a flu and fever in the really hot weather is particularly awful. Luckily, I had the entire set of Peep Show to watch. If you have never seen it, it’s a really funny show and you should check it out – it’s almost all up on youtube.

I am leaving on holiday and will not be able to get the August scopes up, due to being delayed because of my flu. But here is a quick look at August’s energies, and please visit the main site (astrologydetective.com) and read the 2008 horoscope’s eclipse section (located in the etc section of the main menu). This will tell you how this month’s eclipses will affect your sign…

So let’s take a look at August’s energies. I normally love August but wish we could just fast-forward through it this month. The month starts off on a tense note, with a total solar eclipse on the first and the melodrama continues as the month goes on.

There are a lot conflicting impulses this month, as a bunch of planets conjunct Saturn and then oppose Uranus, in quick succession, creating a kind of bi-polar atmosphere. There could be a tendency to flip from a pessimistic depressive attitude to chaotic aggression and risk-taking. Nerves could be tense as people try to keep things under control.

To make things worse, there is a heavy Neptunian vibe hanging over the month like a dense fog, making everyone’s judgement go a bit haywire. Worse yet, the lunar eclipse on the 16th occurs with the Moon conjunct Neptune retrograde, heightening the already bewildering eclipse energy.

Things get a bit more action-oriented in early September…but then there is yet another Mercury retro phase at next month’s end…..
