I have been doing a lot of programming work on the site, and once it is finished I will give a deeper peek into the charts of Sarah Palin and John McCain (maverick or loose cannon?). I am a bit too much in shock of this pick to really delve too deep into the charts at the moment. Although McCain’s Uranus/Mars square is once again making me think this guy is just too impulsive and reckless to be president, Palin has a very simple chart, with an extraordinary dearth of major aspects.

For all the complexity of McCain’s chart, Palin’s is the opposite, almost too simple. In such a chart the few aspects that are made are reinforced, as there is nothing to balance things out or create an internal struggle for different meanings. Palin has her Sun conjunct Mars and Saturn, making her conservative, agressive, and belligerant at the same time, all squaring Neptune, which can make her a bit delusional. The fact that this square is in the stubborn fixed signs of Aquarius and Scorpio indicates that she is unwilling to change her positions, even when on the wrong track.
